The bitter rivialary between these two teams should lead to some great plays, probably fighting and Lord knows what else.

$700 Billion dollar bailout bill fails.

George….. we told you no.
Is anything really worth $700 Billion dollars?
Published 2008/09/29 Blogging Leave a CommentTags: Bailout, Blog, CNN, Politics, Washington
So as I’m sifting through this mornings reading on how our government is somehow “debating” (see dog and
pony show) this $700 Billion dollar bail out bill, I can’t help but wonder…. what does throwing more money at this problem we’ve gotten ourselves into really do?
Honestly I think it creates a rift that has been splitting now for the past 4 years of the Bush lead White House.
Now being the Republican I was for the longest time, I admit to voting for George 2 times because I thought he did do a good job right after 9/11 however his last 4 years….. has gotten out of control.
We are now in a time where the country I believe is going to be heading in a different direction after this next general election.
At this point, I don’t really care who wins. Obama, sure fine… whatever… McCain…. fine okay, the main point to say is that it won’t matter. What I mean by that is that either of them are going to change this countries course whether we want them to or not.
My problem right now is our government (being socialist almost) is telling us… the tax payers… the people with the power, that we are footing the tab for the 5-10% of people that are getting pushed out of their homes and have credit card debt or whatever.
Now before anyone goes all consumer advocacy on my ass, let me just state my belief that if anyone was stupid enough to buy a home that they couldn’t afford, or run up a credit card that they couldn’t have paid off, I do NOT want someone in MY GOVERNMENT to tell me – “Aaron, I’m sorry but we need you to help these people…” I’d respond (as the way much Americans are…) “Take a hike bozo”.
Furthermore, the companies that handed out these sub-prime mortgages deserve to fail and deserve to go bankrupt along with the people that took the loans from them.
The veil has been lifted on Washington.
They’re scared now because they are slowly realizing that the American people are very, very pissed off. Not one of them has the power to change my opinion of them and honestly, it’d be nice if all of the house and senate got the boot and we got all new people in there.
So what is $700 Billion worth to me? Is it worth my vote? Is it worth my energy? Is it worth my time?
To me, Washington has already made it clear that $700 Billion dollars is worth my suppression and continued bondage to foreign countries….. what a truly interesting time we live in.

T-mobile introduces the world to Android.
Published 2008/09/23 Blogging Leave a CommentTags: iPhone, Android, T-mobile, 3G, Internet Phone, Web Browsing, Google, Open Source
I know I know…. half of you are rolling your eyes already at the word “T-mobile”. Yes it’s a fact T-mobile’s range as far as where you get calls can suck compared to AT&T or Verizon…. however today is the first day that either of those carriers don’t have…. Android.
Android is the newest operating system forged by Google exclusively for the HTC T-mobile G1. What makes the G1 so impressive is it has both a touch screen and a slide out qwerty keyboard for those who like to text.
So what does it look like? Well, here’s a brief glimpse off to my right here. A couple of the key features that has are:
- T-mobile 3G
- 3 megapixel camera
- Touch screen w/ full QWERTY keyboard that slides out
- Full Google integration
- Real web browsing
- Open source Application store (that is free!!)
- and a whole lot more.
So yeah, needless to say, the phone is basically a fridge, icebox, small laptop and LCD monitor all shoved into one phone.
Is this phone the iPhone killer? Who knows. I know that Android is going to take a jab @ the iPhone OS (which is a mini OS X) and once Android hits more carriers, it’ll be interesting to see what happens.
The release date is October 22nd so we’re just about a month away from getting my paws on this phone. I’ll definitely be doing some more follow ups to this in the coming weeks.

With the time winding down….. will either of them save us?
Published 2008/09/22 Blogging Leave a CommentTags: CNN, Economy, Fox News, McCain, Obama, Politics
So I changed my voter registration to “Independent” earlier this year and I have to say that I am proud to call myself an independent for the first time in my life; Thinking independently, voting indepen
dently…. speaking independent views and thoughts. For once, it’s not like I ascribe to a certain theocracy of whose right and whose wrong.
So the guys to my left….. if we really ask ourselves….. can they save the country from the greed it has swallowed for the past 20 years? Can they bring “change” that they talk about like it’s their right thumb? Is there a person willing to step up and tell members of the government to GTFO and shrink the governments spending habits for the betterment of America?
My answer is….. an emphatic “No.”
What’s amazing is no matter what they say, no matter what happens, business as usual will still happen, special interest groups will still give either of these guys money and the rest of the people in Washington will buy either one of these two candidates for a certain dollar amount.
Right now both of them are scrambling to figure out what “they believe….” on this government bailout of which I believe is the worst thing to happen to the US economy since the great depression. Not only are we shifting a giganic tax burden on our kids— or their kids…. we are rewarding these companies for being stupid with their money, but bailing them out of their debt. It seriously boils down to if you went out and charged $70k on your Chase Visa card and someone came along and said… “don’t worry, we’ll pay that for you now… and you can pay us back…. well, when it’s convient for you.”
What a load of BS if you ask me.
So while I hope for change, I don’t expect it. Demicans or Republicrats—- Either way you toss the coin, the future is at risk.

[Offline Reviews]- I take on Crysis : Warhead— and live to talk about it.
Published 2008/09/22 Blogging 1 CommentTags: Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Gaming, Steam, PC
So I’m sure some of you are like “What in the blue hell is Crysis Warhead?”— Which is valid. Much to the chagrin of my Wife, I’ve been busy playing through, tweaking, testing, updating, overclocking, playing again, tweaking, testing and finally beating Crysis Warhead over this past weekend.
Crysis : Warhead is an expansion to the follow up hit game “Crysis” released back in late 2007. It follows the story of one of the supporting characters found in the first game named Psycho (awesome huh?) and of course have the cool Nano-suit that was found in the first game.
The picks up about half-way through where the first one was on the other side of the island. What stood out to me was the solid story line of this expansion compared to some of the others I’ve played. It kept you guessing as to where you’d end up next and kept the story moving at a good pace. The action is fairly non-stop with some breathing moments where you can catch your breath before you plung into combat. The graphics of course are top notch but they aren’t without some hitches. Crytek (the developers of the game) swore they optimized the game engine to run on $700 dollar hardware. Well, they “sort of” did. Warhead by default ran under Direct X 10 on my Vista machine, but it ran pretty crappy. Forcing it down to Direct X 9 caused my Frames per second to jump up quite a bit without losing much visual fideltiy. Also, pulling custom configs into Warhead from Crysis helped the framerate jump even higher!!
Graphics aside though, the gameplay is where the meat and potatoes are at and I can safely say it delivers. There are some truly jaw dropping moments combined with epic music found si
milar to the “Dark Knight” score which give you a feeling that you’re part of something much, much bigger. The Nano-suit truly gives for some interesting play mechanics and tactical playing styles.
I personally loved cloaking and running up to a hummer, placing some TNT on it, running away and blowing it up. Quite statisfying.
Crysis Warhead also comes with a seperate multi-player experience called “Crysis Wars”. I still haven’t had a chance to try it out but will hopefully get to here in the near future. (if my Wife doesn’t kill me first.)
The game is quite impressive on many fronts with a solid story, great graphics and a price tag of $30 bucks, you really can’t go wrong. This is available at your local store or via Steam.

I give this game a 4 out of 5.
